- A new report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) found that enrollment in HealthCare.gov surged for racial groups between 2020 and 2022. Enrollment for Latinos and Blacks increased the most at 53 percent and 49 percent, respectively, followed by American Indians and Alaska Natives at 32 percent. White enrollment increased 11 percent; Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander enrollment increased 6 percent. The report’s findings also highlight the continuing need for more comprehensive data collection on race and ethnicity to better address health inequities. (Report here; Article here)
