  • The Labor Department started the process of rescinding state-level authority of workplace safety programs in Arizona, South Carolina, and Utah after the three states failed to implement federal COVID-19 safety plans for health care workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety plans included mandates on social distancing, mask-wearing, and paid time off for workers to get vaccinated. (Articles here and here)
