- The Urban Institute released a new report indicating that nearly 1 million uninsured children and parents could get insurance coverage if Congress makes temporary, enhanced income-based subsidies on the ACA’s exchanges permanent. The analysis found that uninsured rates would drop from 4.6 percent to 4.2 percent for children and from 10.8 percent to 9.8 percent for parents if the subsidies were made permanent. However, 3.3 million children and 6.3 million parents would remain uninsured in 2022. (Report here)
