- Voters in three states moved to protect abortion rights on Tuesday in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Voters in Michigan voted to amend the state constitution to establish an “individual right to reproductive freedom, including right to make and carry out all decisions about pregnancy;” California voters passed a measure that explicitly ensures the state won’t interfere with Californians right to reproductive freedom; and Vermont voters approved an amendment to the state’s constitution that will protect “every person’s right to make their own reproductive decisions,” including about pregnancies, abortion, and birth control.
