  • Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer said he is working with Republicans to try to find a way to pay for new COVID-19 relief funding. Congressional leaders initially agreed to include roughly $15 billion in the government funding bill for new funding for vaccines, treatments, and testing. However, the funding was striped amid Republican pushback. Separately, Schumer also said the chamber will vote this spring on legislation to cap insulin costs at $35 per month, as well as a new bipartisan plan to bring down prices “in a more comprehensive way, including having the uninsured protected.” (Articles here and here)
