  • HHS announced it will distribute more than $2 billion in Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments this week to 7,600 provider organizations facing financial shortcomings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, the department has distributed nearly $11 billion in PRF Phase 4 payments to more than 74,000 providers in all 50 states. However, provider groups are pressing Congress for additional money to cover increased expenses related to the recent Delta and Omicron surges. (Press release here; Articles here and here)
