- A group of 574 Native American tribes reached a tentative $590 million settlement with Johnson & Johnson and the country’s three largest drug distributors — McKesson Corp., Cardinal Health Inc., and AmerisourceBergen Corp. — over their role in the opioid epidemic. The deal is similar to the one drug companies struck last year with state and local governments. Most of the funds will go to addiction treatment and prevention in the tribes.
