- The Urban Institute released a report revealing that individuals with public insurance or no insurance are twice as likely as those with private insurance to experience unfair treatment in health care settings. Over 17 percent of adults with public coverage and 13.9 percent of uninsured adults reported unfair treatment, compared to 6.4 percent of those with private coverage. Having a disability, a physical health condition, or a behavioral health condition was also associated with a greater likelihood of reporting unfair treatment due to health insurance coverage.
