  • Business groups are asking the White House to delay implementing President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The National Retail Federation, the American Trucking Associations, and the Retail Industry Leaders Association asked officials to give businesses 90 days to comply with the mandate, citing that it could exacerbate labor shortages and supply chain problems during the holiday season. The groups are scheduled to meet with the Office of Management and Budget as the agency reviews the mandate. (Article here)
  • Cigna announced it will expand access to covered virtual care services for select employers. Starting in January 2022, Cigna will offer virtual-first primary, dermatology, behavioral, and urgent care services for employers for a $0 copay. Although the new virtual-first plan will only be available for certain employers, all business customers will have access to MDLive’s network of more than 2,000 virtual clinicians for wellness checks, prescription refills and emergency care.
