- The FDA authorized Pfizer booster shots for people over 65 and those who are in high-risk jobs or medically vulnerable at least six months after receiving their second shot. - Pfizer Chief Executive Albert Bourla encouraged employees to oppose congressional Democrats’ plan to include Medicare drug price negotiation in their $3.5 trillion social spending package. In a video message obtained by Politico, Bourla said that the proposals “will have a little positive impact on patients where it really matters at the pharmacy.” Bourla’s effort to mobilize Pfizer employees comes as the pharmaceutical sector ratchets up its work to block the plan.
