  • Findings from the Commonwealth Fund’s 2022 International Health Policy Survey of Primary Care Physicians indicate that half of primary care physicians (PCPs) in 10 high-income countries have experienced increased workloads since the COVID-29 pandemic. In the U.S., 63 percent of PCPs under the age of 55 and 54 percent of PCPs age 55 and older said they had a “very” or “extremely” stressful job. Only 16 percent of PCPs under the age of 55 reported seeking help, while 6 percent of PCPs over the age of 55 sought support. Forty-five percent of PCPs age 55 and older said they plan to stop seeing patients in the near future. (Brief here)
