- Three Republican states took steps Wednesday to restrict abortion access. Idaho Governor Brad Little signed a bill mirroring the Texas that bans abortions after six weeks, despite concerns that its “novel civil enforcement mechanism will in short order be proven both unconstitutional and unwise.” The Oklahoma House advanced similar legislation (HB 4327). South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed a bill that would require women to make three separate visits to a doctor to take abortion bills. However, the law will only be enacted if the state prevails in a federal court battle. (Articles here, here, here, and here)
