  • The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said state-licensed pharmacists can prescribe Pfizer Inc.’s COVID-19 antiviral pill Paxlovid to eligible patients. Pharmacists will be subject to some parameters around prescribing, and the FDA said people who test positive for COVID-19 should first consider seeking care from a doctor or a test-to-treat site.
