- A federal judge has temporarily forbidden a former Cigna executive from taking a position at CVS Health as part of an anti-poaching lawsuit. CVS Health hired Amy Bricker, then president of Cigna’s Express Scripts pharmacy benefit manager subsidiary, to be chief product officer for its consumer offerings last month. ButCigna alleges that Bricker breached the terms of her non-compete agreement by accepting the position and violated the Missouri Uniform Trade Secrets Act, which is intended to protect companies from former employees divulging competitive information to rival companies. - Humana announced it will be leaving the commercial health insurance market and will focus its efforts on government-sponsored products such as Medicare Advantage. The insurer will phase out its fully insured, self-funded, and Federal Employees Health Benefits Program plans, along with its wellness and rewards offerings, over the next 24 months, according to a news release. The insurer will continue to serve the Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicare supplement, Medicaid, and TRICARE markets and retain its dental, vision, and life insurance products.
