- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration announced it will distribute $30 million in grants to providers to boost harm reduction strategies. State and local governments, community-based organizations, and primary and behavioral health organizations can apply for the grants to expand prevention programs, including strategies such as “overdose reversal medications and fentanyl test strips, providing overdose education and counseling, and managing or expanding syringe service programs.” (Press release here)
