- The Senate passed a proposal that would roll back the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine and testing requirement for large private employers. Democrats Joe Manchin and Jon Tester joined Republicans in a 52-48 vote to sink the mandate. While the measure is likely to face an uphill battle in the House and a veto from the president if it ever reached his desk, GOP lawmakers signaled that they’re preparing another push to repeal the administration’s vaccine mandate for health care workers.
