- The Biden administration announced that, thus far, a record 13.6 million people have enrolled in health coverage for 2022 on the ACA marketplaces. The previous high was 12.7 million in 2016. Health officials cited increased subsidies and outreach for the increase in sign-ups, with some of the biggest upticks in the 12 states that have not expanded Medicaid.
