- Epic Systems was the only electronic health record vendor to increase its market share in 2023, according to a new report. The Wisconsin-based company added beds and customers, increasing its total market share to 39 percent of acute care hospitals and 52 percent of acute care beds, according to a new report from market research firm KLAS. In 2022, Epic had 36 percent of acute care hospitals and 48 percent of acute care beds. Meanwhile, EHR vendor Oracle Health lost 71 hospitals and 24 organizations, with its total market share dipping to 24 percent of acute care beds and 23 percent of acute care hospitals, according to the report.
