- Congressional Democrats are hoping to strike a deal as soon as today on adding prescription drug pricing measures to their social spending bill. The latest draft would allow Medicare to negotiate some drug prices and include a redesign of Medicare Part D and rebates, though it’s expected to be far narrower than party leadership’s original plans.
