- Kaufman Hall’s quarterly hospital mergers and acquisitions report showed that there were only 10 transactions announced in Q3. Of those, two hospitals were acquired by for-profit health systems, four were acquired by an academic institution or university, three were acquired by nonprofit health systems, and one was acquired by a religiously affiliated organization. The total transacted revenue was $8.3 billion, compared to $5.2 billion in Q3 of 2021. (Report here)
