- Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) released two new briefs outlining the latest data and key trends for the Medicare Advantage (MA) and Medicare Part D marketplace for 2023. According to the first brief, the typical beneficiary has a choice of 43 MA – an increase of five plans on average from 2022. Forty-eight percent of Medicare beneficiaries (over 28 million beneficiaries) are enrolled in MA plans and enrollment is projected to exceed 50 percent as soon as next year. A second brief found that typical beneficiary has a choice of 24 Medicare Part D stand-alone prescription drug plans for 2023, one more than in 2022. (Briefs here and here)
