- The HHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG) authored a new advisory legal opinion that clears the way for Boston-based DynamiCare Health to use of contingency management – a harm reduction technique that pays people addicted to drugs to remain clean. Under the ruling, DynamiCare Health can pay clients as much as $599, a sharp increase from the $75 limit the government had previously observed, which many experts considered too low to be effective. Others who want to offer similar inducements would have to receive their own advisory from the OIG. (Article here)
