- Tufts Medical Center plans to close its 41-bed pediatric hospital in Boston to increase its capacity to care for critically ill adults. Officials from Wellforce Health System said the 41 beds will be converted to much-needed adult ICU and medical/surgical beds. The health system and the 415-bed Boston Children’s Hospital have signed a letter of intent to collaborate and provide continuity of care. (Press release here; Article here)
