- The House passed a bill to limit the cost of insulin to $35 a month for consumers enrolled in private health insurance plans or Medicare. Cost sharing for beneficiaries in private plans would be limited to either $35, or 25 percent of the health plan’s negotiated price for a 30-day prescription. The insulin cap was one of the health care measures included in Democrats’ Build Back Better legislation. There are currently two bipartisan insulin bills in the Senate, one of which Senator Majority Leader Chuck Schumer supports. (Articles here, here, and here)
